How to get to Cascais

Cascais is a village close to Lisbon (about 25 Km; 30 minutes by train, 15-20 minutes by car), by the sea. From Lisbon airport, the most convenient way to Cascais is by bus. Please check the schedule of the Airport Shuttle Bus at http://www.scotturb.com . You can also take a taxi. Taxis should cost around 25-30 Euros (during the day) and 30-35 Euros (during the night). If you would like to go to the centre of Lisbon before getting to Cascais, you can either take a bus or a taxi. The schedule of the aerobus is available at http://www.carris.pt/ingles/especiais/aerobus.html .The Train Station Cais do Sodré is downtown, by the river Tejo. There you can take a train to Cascais (click here for train information).

Hotel Baía is close to the Cascais train station (less than a 5 minute walk), next to the historical part of the village.

Workshop Location

All  workshop sessions will be held in Museu Condes de Castro Guimarães (follow the link 'Cultura'>'Museus'). The museum is part of the complex of the major public park of Cascais and is located in the old centre of the village. The museum and Hotel Baía are within walking distance (a 5 minute walk).
